Vintage Electro-Harmonix Soul Preacher compressor sustainer in very good physical condition and in perfect working order. This is the 1st version and uses an FET, P/N F2818, for compression as opposed to the later version that uses the CA3080 transconductance op-amp like the MXR Dynacomp or Ross compressor.This FET model is more subtle than the CA3080 version but still offers a lot of compression and is very similar in tone and operation to the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer but smoother in the sustain/release thanks in part to the use of a full wave rectifier in the detection circuit. Also, there is a lot of control with the Threshold knob and Treble Boost switch. The switch adds treble back in which can be lost when using high amounts of compression. There is a lot of Volume available to drive the front end of an amp.Runs on 9V battery or power supply, neither are included but an adapter will be supplied for use with a standard Boss type negative center barrel plug.Will ship for $10 via USPS Ground Advantage within one business day upon receipt of payment.Thank you!
