I tired that & didn't work at 1st but when then changed the trigger on PAMs from gate to Triangle & bam, seems to be working using that ...

Hi,

Just got this module & after 1st plug in it seems the clock input doesn't work.
Anyone have any familiarity/experience with this issue?

• Have rate knob set to min (stopping internal clock).
• Feeding clock/gate input to Bloom clock input (the one to the right of the rate input) from PAMs

Have contacted QB who said they'll look into it....

Not selling mine. Hated it at first, but after a while it grew on me and it became my favourite.

I haven't heard MN is stirring things up on the granular field.
Probably a lot of people get dissapointed at first and give up.

Hey folks, I'm currently running hemispheres in my o_C and I'm looking to install the benispheres firmware.

I've followed the instructions here: https://github.com/benirose/O_C-BenisphereSuite/releases

I've downloaded the Teensy loader, got the benispheres hex file I need, but I'm stuck at one part with getting the Teensy loader to work.

On this page: https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/loader_mac.html it says "The Teensy Loader should appear as a small window. If the Teensy board is running the LED blink, or not connected, you should see this window."

This is where I'm stuck. The next part mentions "If HalfKay is running...." and I'm completely lost. I have no idea what HalfKay is and it seems without this, I can't get the Teensy loader into auto mode so I can load the hex file.

Anyone have any idea how to do this? Many thanks in advance!!

If you have the space, the Frequency Central Infinitely Maybe looks interesting. Gives you the option to S&H from something else than noise and you can use the noise for something else as S&H as well.

As for other modulation sources - why the (apologies) crazy 4hp limitation? My favorite is Joranalogue Orbit. It’s 10hp, granted, but it gives a very organic non-repetitive modulation source that I use in every track. I can’t remember a single day where I haven’t used it. I got it back when my Intellijel 104hp 7U was half full but it was one of the core modules that moved over to my smaller 84hp 6U rack that I have used on its own for a while. I couldn’t miss it. I’m sure others here have other larger than 4hp modules they have similar experiences with.

This is an alternate design for a Tiptop Audio Happy Ending rack kit that will sit atop a Behringer 2600 in a 19" rack frame (See my Happy Ending Rack Master). The idea here is to work with more modulation sources and build around having two Korg SQ-1 Sequencers on the desktop. I've included a switch in the plan to work with those two.

What would you suggest (other options max 4HPs are welcome too), and what are your experiences with these modules?

Other modulation sources I have in the skiff are:

I would add some granular synthesis. Morphagene, Nebulae, Arbhar, etc. Very good for all styles, especially ambient of course. But it’s a question of sensitivity. Excellent selection of modules otherwise...

Avendo un case da 84 hp della cre8audio...mi avanza 1hp alla fine del case , per intenderci verso il fianchetto in legno..ma noto che poggiandoci una piastra cieca da 2hp..Cade a pennello.
La mia domanda è: ho un modulo che mi è avanzato un multiple doepfer passive da 2 hp...spostando l'ordine degli altri moduli dal sistema si riesce ad inserirlo? Oppure meglio rispettare il numero degli hp del case??

Thank you! I got rid of the Veils and bought the Lapsus OS. The PicoDrums is replaced by a Filter. I think it suits me now :-)

I took a look at the code as well... it looks like a bit of effort to get into, but only because there's quite a lot of code... it doesn't look that difficult (clean code with meaningful names and nicely laid out) once you do and know the basics of programming/C++... in other words probably not much more effort than it would take either of us - or any other programmer, for that matter

all programmers weren't programmers before they became programmers - you have to start somewhere!

I suspect everyone using this forum has the basic skills needed - reading, googling, high school level maths and typing

It might be worth looking into a fixed filter bank with CV control like the Addac601

I had a play around with the rack, not sure if this works but its where I'd probably start if I was handed a box of modules and I hadn't patched with the system yet:

I'm a developer, and even if you have the knowledge, it is not an easy task to modify the code written by another, especially if that other person is the creator of the Hardware. Anyway, if it's a small change, don't be discouraged and get your hands on it.
It is difficult or even impossible to break the hardware through code. It is more dangerous to manipulate the hardware.

Hello everyone,

I’m using my DT as master clock and sending 24 ppqn clock to Pam’s Pro Workout via the hexinverter Mutant Brain. Everything has latest firmware installed. I’m trying to get PPW to receive transport control at the ‘run’ input using a Transport Start/Stop gate on the MB. So far so logical… The problem I’m having is the gate goes high and PPW starts in sync with the DT just fine, but the gate then latches and doesn’t go low when I hit stop. I have to press the panic button to get it to reset. Anyone got any suggestions??

just tried messing with it,but cant seem to find where in the BSP software(midi control center)you set up the ppqn?

it's under device settings/sync: clock in/out settings - you can choose 1 step. 24ppq, 48ppq or 2ppq (korg) - you need to connect your BSP to your computer to access the device settings!

Thanks for the link, that's exactly why I have opened this thread.

I have tested the custom mode of my brand new clock divider using LED pin jacks and it looks to me they all light up and down as inverted triggers indeed, so I was wondering if someone else knew how to move the jumpers around to get something more useful out of that setting...

When sampling an instrument for tonal music, use the 'cycle of fifths': F, C, G, D, A, E, B, etc. But, as explained above, this assumes the ability to multi-sample...

Hi all!

I have just realised my clock divider custom setting generates inverted triggers. Is there a way to move around the jumpers and get inverted gates out of the CST setting without affecting the other two settings instead?

Yeah, don't get me wrong the LL8v1 is a great and very affordable trigger sequencer, its very playable, easy to edit. I was looking hard at other modules before I decided to get a Beatstep Pro, the new version of the LL8 looks great.

you don't need an expander for Pams

depends:

BSP as master - use one of the drum triggers and patch that into the clock in of Pams - but Pams works best with higher ppqn (pulses per quarter note) which may be inappropriate on the BSP so the other way round is probably better

Pams as master - use one of the channels of Pams to send clock to BSP -> clock in - decide on a ppqn - and set that up using the BSP control software and set the clock multiplier on Pams to match it - 16 or 24 ppqn is probably best - although lower may work perfectly - you may want to experiment a bit
