CGS01 Sub Oscillator / Harmonic Sequencer (1U)

CGS01 Sub Oscillator / Harmonic Sequencer

The CGS01 Sub Oscillator / Harmonic Sequencer from Cat Girl Synthesizers has a multitude of uses.

First, as its name suggests, it provides deep, resonant sub-oscillation to VCO input. It is actually a two channel sub-oscillator whose channels can be used independently or can be driven by the same oscillator but set to different intervals.

Running an LFO input into both channels then feeding the output into the 1V/Oct input of an oscillator will produce a pattern based sequence. The output can also be fed to a Quantizer first to create a musically melodic patch.

The CGS01 Sub Oscillator / Harmonic Sequencer comes in a 2U width with 1″ (25.4mm) knobs controlling 8 potentiometers. These potentiometers function as each channel’s mixers for the voltage divisions (0 / 2 / 4 / 8)

The CGS01 can also be used as a clock divider with some startling effects!

Inputs include Signal for Channels 1 & 2

Both Normal and Inverted signal are available as Output

The module operates at +/- 15V and comes with a MOTM style power connector. Included is an MOTM to power connector adapter.

The CGS01 is now available in 1U width! The only difference between the 2U and 1U versions is the size of the knobs (and of course panel size). Both are electrically identical. Ideal for when space is a concern, the 1U version brings the thick, rich sub-oscillator sound to a smaller footprint – AND AT THE SAME PRICE!
