FV-1 based 8HP DSP FX module

FX module based around Spin Semiconductors FV-1 DSP chip.

8HP version of Dervish (https://www.modulargrid.net/e/other-unknown-dervish), using the same DSP board, but with a different control board. Programs and banks from Dervish will run on µDervish without change.

The FV-1 runs it's current live program from a bank of eight programs stored in an external EEPROM. µDervish expands this onboard EEPROM storage to provide up to 11 banks of programs. The default configuration has 4 available banks, though the user can configure this from 1 to 11.

The FV-1 supports three CV inputs. µDervish provides summed pot and external CV control for these.

A 7-segment display shows the current program number.

The program number can be changed either by the two pushbuttons, or from the ProgAdv input. ProgAdv can be configured to switch to a random program.
Pressing both buttons switches to bank select mode, where the pushbuttons allow the user to select a new bank. Pressing both buttons again toggles back to program select mode.

The current program and bank number are persisted in memory and recalled on next power up.

An I2C interface provides access to the EEPROM allowing the user to upload new programs, backup the existing EEPROM etc. An optional Teensy based EEPROM programmer shield is available to provide I2C access for a desktop, along with command line programs for Mac OS and Linux. An FV-1 assembler is also provided, turning µDervish into a full FV-1 development environment.

This is currently only available as a DIY project though there are builders who offer a built modules.
