Noise drone semi-modular synthesizer by kNoB technology

Muscarin is a musical/noise synthesizer. It is semi-modular and ships in either desktop or eurorack versions and is suited to send and receive standard voltages —5/+5 volts for CV and 0-10 volts for Gate signals.

Tech specs
-Muscarin BIAS core includes 4 voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO’s for short). Each of them has its own expo-linear converter with adjustable linearity and limited v/oct tracking. The VCO’s put out a square wave. BIAS mode is, well, biasing the voltage, making the VCO’s influence each other and allowing to produce complex waveshapes.
-Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO) creates control signals and has two modes of operation, Slow (S) and Fast (F), with a speed ratio of 1:2. LFO rate (apart from corresponding knob) can be linearly changed via external CV or by its sensor pad.
-Attack/Release Envelope Generator (EG) creates a control voltage changing overtime. It receives a trigger signal and puts out an envelope with adjustable attack and release. Also has a slow and fast modes, with a speed ratio of 1:21. can be triggered by an LFO, sensor pad, external signal or operate in loop mode, resetting its own cycle.
-Voltage Controlled Filter / Saturator / 12dB/oct LPF / 6 dB/oct HPF is a resonant vactrol filter/saturator that interacts with VCA channel gates. In all the modes with Resonance at minimum the Cutoff frequency knob influences the gates’ opening time. Raising Resonance over 10% makes the Cutoff knob influence mixing siglans from the VCO’s. The filter can be saturated in soft or hard mode, switched by MOD button. The VCF can be controlled by internal or external signals and also via sensor pads.
-Voltage Controlled Amplifiers / Gates (VCA’s) are vactrol based amplifiers. Each VCO has one, and there’s one to control the main output, too. VCA’s can be controlled by internal or external signals and also via sensor pads.
