S-332 Trig sequencer

Trig sequencer module

Clock in jack + LED + manual button
Reset in jack + LED + manual button
32 step buttons + LEDs
4 outputs (ABCD)
Sequence length knob + LED
Trigger width knob + CV in jack
4 mode buttons + LEDs
4 memory/edit buttons + LEDs

Mode:
32 (LED off) = sequence length is 2-32 step (adjustable by seq length knob), one section, all outputs A&B&C&D provides same output (as multiple)
16 (LED dimmed) = sequence length is 2-16 step (adjustable by seq length knob), two sections, outputs A&B provides same output from first section while C&D from second
8 (LED on) = sequence length is 2-8 step (adjustable by seq length knob), four sections, outputs A, B, C, D provides output from sections (columns)
Because sequence length setting is same for all sections clock is running in parallel in all sections so creating polyrythms is not possible with S-332 alone.

Direction: normaly advancing sequence (LED off), pendullum (LED dimmed), random (LED on)

Reset: “stay” means first clock after reset plays first step (LED off), “1” means reset signal makes first step itself (LED on)

Repeat: “off” means first and last step in pendullum mode are not repeated and in random mode new random step is generated (LED off). “On” sets repetition of first and last step in pendullum mode and allows playing same step in random mode (LED on)

There are four memories for each length (4 for 32step, 4 for 16step and 4 for 8step mode):

1/CLR: short press recalls memory 1, holding button clears current pattern
2/INV: short press recalls memory 2, holding button inverts current pattern
3/RND1: short press recalls memory 3, holding button generates denser random pattern
4/RND2: short press recalls memory 4, holding button generates thinner random pattern

Trigger width can be set in range from 1ms to approx. 50ms

Preloaded memories contains patterns in shape of “numbers” and “letters”: 1-4 for 32 step mode, 5-8 for 16 step mode and A-D for 8 step mode just for easy understanding of memory arrangement.
