Fricko Clean Performance Envelope - velocity-sensitive envelope generator allowing clean separation of notes played close together

This envelope generator recreates a technique described by Wendy Carlos, of using one envelope generator for the note and another for the phrase. So even if the first note in a phrase has a slow start, the rhythm of inner notes will still be noticeable.

In the terms of classical music performance, this is called "portato" where your phrase is "legato" but you don't want slurred notes (and you don't want complete disconnected staccato.) It is impossible to get this performance effect on a convenional ADSR envelope generator without adjusting the attack and decay for each individual note as you play a line: practically it is too hard.

Wind players will be very familiar with "portato": it is the kind of note you get by tongueing the inner notes of phrases even if the first note is merely blown.

The module can also be used as a kind of two-input slew limiter on control voltages.
