Fricko Shell Waveshaper - unique Fibonacci waves and more
This unique waveshaper was designed to approximate a particular waveshape for a wave that has only harmonics in the Fibonacci sequence: 1,2,3,5,8,13,21 etc. The result is a waveshaper with great action in the lowest 5 harmonics but still plenty of higher harmonics. However, when we tried it we found it can generate a whole family of new waveshapes and sounds that are simply not obtainable from any other waveshaper, and perhaps impossible to do even with a complex patch using existing modules.
The incoming wave is divided into three sections, inner and two outer, controlled by a Width control. A Tilt control changes the slopes and offsets of each section. Finally, a Mix control allows crossfading to a different, often less bright, waveshape.
Great for lead and a bass sounds that can take over the centre space. Some of the sounds are described as "dark but fuzzy".
