The new SVF-1 from Tenderfoot Electronics is a great sounding state variable filter with voltage controlled cutoff and resonance. The SVF-1 self-oscillates when the resonance is turned up and has a 1V/octave input for use as a VCO. The resonance circuit includes a drive control operated by the knob on the front panel. You can even press a button if you're feeling less polite to really push the resonance beyond its limit and get it sounding dirty!
