klanglab.de

klanglab.de is a project that I have dreamed of since 1975 and today I can realize it in form of a small company.
By dedicating my last 50 years to the usual demands of society and sacrificing my nerves to the management of electronics, software and wellness companies, I was not able to realize my very dream. As an electronics engineer, I used to built measuring devices and in the seventies I switched to hardware development for microcomputers. Soon I started programming microcontrollers and specialized in user interfaces and inter-system interfaces.
It wasn't until late, around 2020, that I got involved with the hardware and software development of microcontrollers for music applications. Nothing has ever captivated me like the electronic generation of sounds and the electronic circuits required for this.

Today Klanglabor was founded and with the klanglab.de Module series, I invent my ideas to the world of electronic music.
Klanglab.de is an open system that takes today's state of developement for analog modular synthesizers into account.
All Eurorack compatible modules can be operated with it, no matter which manufacturer they come from.
When you buy a Gibson guitar, nobody tells you which strings you have to put on.

The developers of all modular synthesizer modules worldwide have one thing in common: the search for that special sound or rhythm. In addition, their creativity, their experience and their skills flow into their products - fortunately for the musicians who use them to create their sound painting.

Modular synthesizer modules are to the "electronic musician" what brushes and paint are to the painter. Only through their hands does the instrument flourish.

In this sense, I see myself as an instrument maker. Of course I have to cover my costs with the sale of my work. That's why I can't reveal every secret and every idea, but I try to keep the prices for klanglab.de low.

The small company Klanglabor works together with the worlds leading professional electronic manufacturers and suppliers. With my good contacts to many friends in the Far East, only the best components and the most modern means of production are used in the klanglab.de modules.
Besides this there are only 100% in-house developed electronic designs uin our products and we also use high quality components only. Needless to say the klanglab.de modules are mechanically very compact.

We produce the moduls on demand, very often in small series of five. Thus we keep a vacillating small stock. Some of the Eurorack modules are build to order only. Therefore sometimes it takes a little time ..

Nevertheless, some circuit diagrams and documents are published with the individual modules or you can find them in the DIY area. We provide a support blog to distribute information on components, technical data, circuit diagrams and housing information. Also, in the worst case, for service information.
klanglab.de is supposed to be an open system that should help you to realize your ideas of a real modular synthesizer in a world of almost unlimited creative possibilities.
Finally I hope with our new customer programmable and digitally controllable klanglab.de modules we contribution to the world of "analog modular synthesizers" and I hope they will push existent boundaries out of sight.

So if you are looking for something special and flexible among electronic instruments, then go to klanglab.de!
