Description

Ross Distortion Pedal USA 1979 SN # 36501 EX. Never gigged with and rarely used in the studio. I probably used it more to make the demo today (4.25.24) than I ever used it. It's a great sounding, vintage distortion that can give you tones from an overdrive to more hard rock distortion. It's very versatile, but just getting lost in the shuffle of all the gear I have. It's overall in great shape (please see pics) and looks very clean. It takes a 9V (not included) or it also as an external female 9V adapter (not included), on the 1/4" input side. *Date Code on Pot indicates that it was made in 1979.Here's some info on the Demo: Ross Distortion Pedal USA 1979 SN # 36501 EX "For Sale". Quick Demo done on 4.25.24 with the 1979 Ross Distortion Pedal, 90's G&L Swamp Ash Tele, 1950's Magnatone Model 210 Amp. 5 Watt "Student" Model with vibrato, but no vibrato was used, Glass Slide, Grundig 202 Stereo Mic, Roland Octa Capture 8 Ch Pre, Presonus Studio One Pro 6 (latest edition). The Ross was mostly set about 3/4 distortion and a little less on the volume. I'm more of a Blues-Rock, Roots player and never had the distortion "full out". It can get a bit more dirty than I had it, but not Metal Zone distortion dirty. I even ran the Bass track through the Ross with the distortion on about 2 (distortion knob way down). It gave it a Ampeg SVT dirk vibe. No Reverb, No Compression, No Nuttin' on any Guitar/Bass track. You can really get any kind of Roots, Blues Rock, Hard Rock sound out of this pedal. It's a beautiful, natural distortion.
