The Good, Bad and Ugly _________________________The GoodThis pedal kicks butt, plain and simple. It’s a very early model of the DOD FX50 Overdrive Preamp pedal. It features only 2 knobs: Level and Distortion. It looks to be handwired, and very cleanly. When the Level control is engaged, it fattens up the tone and adds some bass to the signal and while boosting its overall output, so you can push your amp’s gain harder. When you add distortion , it begins at a lighter fat overdriven sound and revs up to a beefy, fuzzed-out roar. It still has the original foam underneath its casing and has been gone through and cleaned thoroughly by me. The BadI bought this used many years ago, and it’s never had its back battery casing. I believe those can be purchased aftermarket online, though. The UglyThe pedal works great, and its case is in good condition for its age, but it has seen some wear and definitely has mojo. _____________________My loss is your gain! This little thing is really rare, really mighty, and in the right hands, it could be really valuable! Maybe you! This item is sold as-is, and all sales are final.
