About the Unicorn Account

Description

This is one of the coolest effects of all time and one of the rarest and most collectable too.It is the original version from the 70's, not the re-issue. It is in excellent condition, especially for it's age (almost 50 years old.) Everything works perfectly electronically; cosmetically there are some light surface scratches on the front but all graphics are clearly legible. The back of the effect has some residue from a sticker that can be cleaned off, so it's nothing major. It is hard to describe the sounds you can get out of this, but I'll try....it's basically a pitch shifter, but with incredible harmonic overtones. You also get somewhat unpredictable results, depending on what you are plugging into it (guitar, keyboard, vocal etc) and how you are playing. One of my favorite uses is creating sweeping sonic textures by turning the shift and fine knobs while sustaining a single note or two. I guarantee that you'll discover some amazing and unique applications just by experimenting with it. This particular one has orange graphics, which is very rare. 99% of them have black graphics, but they switched to orange when the factory temporarily ran out of black silk screen ink. (Hey, this was the 70's when quality control and consistency were relatively new concepts.) But the orange ones have become very collectible. You can pick this up from me if you are local or I will ship it anywhere in the U.S. at cost. For more info email me here or call Danny at 917-848-1820.
