Has been a Perfect fit in my pedal board for a long set of dates.Figuring out how to dial in settings on some delay pedals isn’t too dissimilar to learning how to pilot a space shuttle. Thankfully, that’s not the case with the Yellow Fall because Donner has kept it very simple when it comes to the control layout. Two small knobs for echo and feedback flank the larger time knob that can be used to set the delay anywhere between 30 and 600ms. There is also a true bypass switch and that is it.Most importantly, the Yellow Fall genuinely sounds great. For cleans, the Donner is fantastic at creating that spacey delay effect and with everything set to noon, the Yellow Fall is great for making leads soar without muddying up fast runs. The PT2399 chip manages to capture most of the degrading repeat effect and warmness analog delays are coveted for. At the same time, it does sound a little clearer than my Behringer VD400, especially at lower delay times, making it a kind of hybrid between analog and digital. Pretty sweet.It looks good, sounds phenomenal, and feels like it’s built to last. The small form-factor is useful for sneaking it onto any board, it features true bypass.
