This is a great muff style fuzz by the now defunct FX legends dwarfcraft. This fuzz served as their flagship pedal and it's a bangin piece of gear. Allegedly dwarfcraft's fearless leader Ein designed this by wiring up a to spec green Russian muff, and tweaking everything he hated out of it while adding a bunch of cool features. This thing kicks total ass and would be welcome on any board as someone's main dirt or as a cool option It's got your standard volume tone and distortion controls you'd expect, as well as a time warp toggle, which switches the diodes or something to create a totally different fuzz sound. There's a modern setting which is sharp and biting, and a vintage setting that has a really cool blunted note attack and a lot more bass. Both sound great and are totally usableThere's also a trim knob, which controls the level of the signal going into the fuzz, so it will play well with both high output and low output guitarsThe coolest feature in my opinion is the toneblast foot switch, which bypasses the tone stack and boosts the volume and mids, which is super handy if you want to go from a chunky rhythm to a searing lead without completely disappearing from the mix. Just hit the switch and you will absolutely cut through any band.There's a weird feedback circuit that I don't totally understand, but basically there's a momentary footswitch that triggers a glitchy pitched sound that you can tune with the knob. I always found that part totally useless, but a fun little extra feature.I love this fuzz, it's super solid and has been used by a bunch of cool bands (most notably Japanese stoner/doom/jpop legends Boris) but I've had it for almost 10 years now and I want to try some new stuff out, I'd hold onto it but I haven't really used it for like 6ish years, and I think it'd be a lot happier serving on somebody's else's boardThe fuzz works perfectly and is built like a tank.
