Description

PRODUCT DETAILSXAOC DEVICES ERFURTWhether you need a simple divider or another component to your other Leibniz binary modules, Erfurt from XAOC Devices is a Phase Accumulator that's ready to fill any role you throw at it. At its core is an eight-bit register, counting values from zero to 255, with manual and trigger inputs for counting upwards, downwards, or resetting to zero. In standalone mode, this means the each of its eight outputs represents powers of two—so in a simple clock divider patch, the input clock signal is divided by two, four, eight, 16, 32, 64, and 128. But because Erfurt utilizes CMOS logic ICs rather than a digital CPU, it can be clocked well into (and even above) audio rate frequencies for gritty subharmonic generation. But when connected to other members of the XAOC Devices Leibniz family, Erfurt's capabilities increase dramatically! When connected to Lipsk, the internal counter can be increased by more than one at a time, generating complex patterns rather than simple divisions, while the value of the counter can index wavetables and other functions in Jena. Seemingly unassuming gate signals take on a whole new life within the Leibniz subsystem, but Erfurt can bring utility to any patch.ERFURT FEATURES8-bit binary phase accumulatorStandalone functionality as an audio or clock dividerBi-directional counting and resetClockable beyond audio rate thanks to its CMOS circuitryConnects with other Leibniz modules
