CMOS glitch fuzz

GFZ is an effects device that blurs the line between distortion and fuzz by manipulating complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) inverters to produce a wide range of distorted textures. That’s a fancy way of saying it turns your guitar signal into a square wave and allows you to starve and filter it to get sounds ranging from smooth singing distortion to sputtering glitchy pitch dropped chaos.

GFZ features a feedback network activated by the momentary DEGRADE footswitch that allows you to destabilize the clipping portion of the circuit to produce dynamic and unpredictable results depending on how the other controls are configured.

The goal with GFZ was to produce a glitchy stuttering starved fuzz tone with loads of chaos that isn’t picky about what type of guitar you play or where you place the pedal in your signal chain. It will deliver the same massive fuzz tones with complex textures if you use active pickups or place it after a buffer. So place it where you want your fuzz rather than worrying about where your fuzz wants to be.
