Triggers and Envelope Control

This is recreation of the Moog 993 Triggers and Envelope Control module from 1968.

The 993 is a signal routing module for S-triggers coming from one or two controllers. Switches (with red LED's), labelled "from 1" or "from 2" at the top of the panel connect the controller trigger outputs (when lit) to the 911A Dual Trigger Delay.

The lower three left hand column switches (orange LED's) route the trigger signal as follows: top switch - to left 911 with no delay, center switch - to center 911 with delay set by top 911A delay unit (if any), bottom switch - to the right 911with delay set by the bottom 911A (if any).

The right hand switches (with green LED's) connect the DC control voltages from the 911's to their respective 902 Voltage Controlled Amplifiers: Left to left, center to center, right to right. Any of these routes may be connected at the same time.

The AM993 PCB has a 12V power inlet socket, eight slide switches and LED’s. The modules connects to the 902, 911 and 911A via an included cable harness that uses Molex 2 and 3 pin connectors. There is a small daughter PCB that attaches to the back of each of the 902, 911A and 911 modules.

Molex connectors are used to provided the inter module cabling, with the customer needing to solder wires to the various Behringer jack sockets from the daughter PCB’s. This is an easy job for someone competent in soldering and instructions are included with the module. There is a picture of this within the product pictures above.

The jack sockets are not normalised, so no PCB traces need to be cut on the Behringer modules.

The 993 module is designed to complement the Behringer System 55 Modular System, with a black anodised aluminum 8HP panel. Power cable and black hex M3 screws are included.
