Module Description :
In the hermetic tradition, natron designates the salts which, by purification, allow to obtain the gold necessary to the making of the stone of the wise. The Natron module takes up this idea of gold hidden among impurities via the oscillator.
The old version of Natron was centered around a 555 astable multivibrator modulating a second 555 monostable, in order to create a voltage modulated pulse.
The new version is built around two classical AOP, the first one forming a triangle wave modulating in frequency the second one.
A switch from a bipolar modulation (-12 to +12) or to a unipolar modulation (0 to +12). For each oscillation.
A potentiometer sets the frequency of each oscillator independently. The third potentiometer adjusts the intensity of the injection of the first oscillator into the second. A Jack input controls each oscillator independently. The frequency of each oscillator is not adjustable in V/Oct.
This module is quite attractive, although the output has a very large amplitude. Controlled with envelopes, it allows to create rather incisive drums. Definitely not intended for melody.
