Stereo state variable filter

IMÁGENES is a stereo state variable filter with built-in stereo imaging, panning, distortion, modulation capabilities and lots of character.

Depth: 38mm (rev1.x and DIY) - 30mm (rev2.0)

  • Highpass, bandpass and lowpass modes switchable per filter, with L & R OUTs straight from the filters themselves for individual/dual mono operation.

  • The STEREO IMAGE circuit pans the filter's audio from hard L & R at the knob's CW position, mono at 12 o'clock and inverted R & L at it's CCW position and everything in between, allowing from subtle stereo effects and crossfading to aggressive AM and weird stereo stuff. This circuit comprises of 4 internal VCA's and is completely independent from the filters.

  • The LINK switch slaves the R filter's cutoff frequency to the L one, allowing manual, CV and V/Oct control over them simultaneously.

  • FREQ L, R and Image are fully CVable at audio rates, with attenuverters for all of them.

  • Clean self-oscillation across the audio spectrum with good tracking over 5 octaves, temperature compensation and dedicated V/OCT inputs, allowing IMÁGENES to be used as a dual/stereo sine wave VCO.

  • Going past 12 o'clock on the INPUT LEVEL knob, soft-clipping is applied to the audio before the filters, giving them more to chew on.

  • A DRIVE switch that triples the input amplitude after the soft-clipping stage; this can be used to bring up weak signals and/or overdrive and distort the filters in a nice way.

  • The RESONANCE CV input features an attenuator and allows from DC to audio rate modulation.

Like all of our modules, it features reverse polarity power protection.
