Stereo State Variable Filter | Olivella Modular
Features highpass, bandpass and lowpass modes that are switchable independently per filter, with L & R OUTs straight from the filters themselves for individual/dual non-stereo operation.
The Stereo Image circuit pans the filter's audio from hard L & R at the pot's CW position, mono at 12 o'clock and inverted R & L at it's CCW position and everything in between, allowing from subtle stereo effects and crossfading to aggressive AM and weird stereo stuff. This circuit comprises of 4 internal VCA's and is completely independent from the filters.
The Link switch slaves the R filter's cutoff frequency to the L one, allowing manual, CV and V/Oct control over them simultaneously.
Freq L, R and Image are fully CVable at audio rates, with attenuverters for all of them.
Both dedicated V/Oct inputs track 4 or 5 octaves, to use it as a dual/stereo sine VCO or to modulate whatever you want.
The Input Level pot starts soft clipping past 12 o'clock, giving a fatter sound for the filters to chew on.
The Drive switch can be used to amplify a weak signal or to saturate and distort the filters heavily.
The Resonance CV input features an attenuator and allows audio rate modulation.
DIY friendly, features 95% through hole components and doesn't need any calibration apart from the V/Oct tracking.
Available as an assembled Module and as a DIY project.
