A CMOS4040-based stacked-octave generator/quantised sequencer

Make noise like it's 1984 ...

An updated version of my old 4024-based chiptune module - this has been improved in a number of ways, most notably that there's no passthrough for the incoming signal, it's now possible to alter the voltage levels of the four sub-octaves and there's no low-pass filter on the output. Simply put, this module will take your incoming square wave, generate four octaves below it and mix them at the output. The result sounds like something you'd find in a Commodore 64 game, and pretty dirty to boot.

Alternatively, if you clock it with a slow(ish) square wave, say from an LFO, and feed the output into a VCO then you've got something not unlike a quantised sequencer.

Panel is 6HP (~30mm wide) and laser-cut from 3mm birch ply - for best results, mount with M3x10 machine screws. The panel is hand-coloured and using water-based wood dye.

THIS ITEM IS MADE TO ORDER - please allow 5-7 working days for the build and testing. If I need to order components from the build then I will let you know and minimise any delay as much as I can.
