Dual Low Pass Gate

Two channel vactrol low pass gate

The Dual Low Pass gate is a two channel vactrol-based low pass gate. This module builds on the legacy of classic low pass gates of the past and present, while improving circuit performance. With a completely unique CV circuit, this Low Pass Gate is able to tightly follow incoming CV, making it the perfect companion for voltage controlled envelopes. This improved CV circuit also allows the module to maintain great off-ness, meaning that when incoming CV is at 0 volts, the module’s output is completely silent. Each channel features a dynamics control alongside the expected CV input, allowing the user to modulate how tightly the low pass gate follows incoming CV. As the dynamics control is turned counter-clockwise, the low pass gate will respond in a manner that is shorter and pluckier. Turning the dynamics control fully clockwise will allow the low pass gate to fully open and decay more gradually.

This Low Pass Gate is a part of a limited release series. Each module was assembled by hand in New York City. Each module utilizes high quality hand matched film capacitors in the audio path. The two channels also utilize hand matched Vactrols along with a CV circuit that has been tuned to compensate for each Vactrols natural variances.
