Der Mann mit der Maschine is known for live acts and videos with improvised music on modular gear, but also as a module designer. His first module that came to market is the Sinfonion, which is manufactured and distributed by Audiophile Circuits League (ACL).

The DROID modules are now issued on its own name. The hardware has been developed in friendly cooperation with Vladimir Pantelic (VPME), who is known most people as the creator of the famous Euclidean Circles.

DROID P2B8 Controller, DROID, DROID G8 Expander and Blind Panel are among Der Mann mit der Maschines most popular products.

The new firmware "green-5" is is now able to play MIDI files directly from the SD card. Well, "play" might be a bit misleading. In fact it generates the CV and gate patterns that reflect the notes in the file's MIDI tracks, but that makes it even more flexible. Up to eight voices per track are supported with different patterns of voice allocation. If you like you can ignore the track's internal speed and clock it externally, just as a sequencer.
