Clouds texture rack

I d like to begin with modular synthesis and use minimal setup, based on MI clouds module

Is another module needed , as i will use ipad apps for FX and ableton for sequencing ?

Do i need something else or can it be used alone ?

well, you need a case with power distribution like this: http://www.schneidersladen.de/de/doepfer-mini-case-roh-raw-32te.html.
and probably a modulation source plus some kind of audio source...
