Hi all,
I've been into modular for a few years and mostly make ambient music (http://songsforatiredcity.bandcamp.com) - But lately i've also been thinking about making some industrial techno. in addition to this rack, I use an O-Ctrl and an Octatrack. 4 voices go into the mixer, with disting set to a reverb send. The master is sent to the octatrack with a filter and compressor at the end. I've started to perform more often now but find myself patching in similar ways - Just wanted to get some feedback from you all on some patching ideas I may not have thought of! In general for gigs, I like to set up 4 voices - with two voices playing melodies recorded into the hermod via the octatrack midi section and then tweaked with hermod effects and another two that are usually either doing bass and a random S&H counter thing or just some fx/sounds..

The marbles in there in there is a placeholder for a DIY locked sample and hold that someone in Goa built for me https://ozoe.fr/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=438&mnuid=316&tconfig=0

I've also very recently added a dot, morphagene, BIA, 1U attenuator and a 1U bernoulli gate but I haven't had the chance to fully explore them yet. I also have a clouds, pluck and mysteron that I recently removed from the setup. Ideally i'd llike to restrict myself to a 7U setup.

Would love to hear what ya'll think!

bump!

Matrix mixers are recommended pretty frequently here, and I would suggest investigating how you might use one of those to inject some life into your current workflow. They're fun for feedback patching, combining modulation sources, and using as parallel routing. The Doepfer A138 is awesome but large at 20hp. I'm sure there are smaller options.
Have fun and good luck!
